What used to take hours—finding the sharpest shots, weeding out blurry images, and removing duplicates—now takes me less than half an hour. This means I can spend more time on the creative side of editing, matching exposures for a consistent look, removing distractions, and swapping out backdrops to enhance your images.

Take Christmas this year, for example. I designed and created my own festive backdrop, largely with the help of AI tools and my own creative editing skills. This allowed every family to have a unique and magical scene—without me needing to store bulky seasonal props year-round.

Step 1: Your Vision Comes First

Before we begin, I always have a conversation with you about your vision for the session. This isn’t just about choosing locations, outfits or poses—it’s also how I plan any digital additions or enhancements to get the exact look you want. Whether you’re dreaming of a particular colour palette, a special backdrop, or a certain mood, this chat helps me prepare everything in advance.

Step 2: The Session

During your session, I focus on capturing genuine moments—your baby’s tiny details, your family’s laughter, the quiet in-between moments that matter. My studio setup, lighting, and props are all designed to keep you comfortable and relaxed.

Step 3: Editing and Enhancements

After your session, I use AI tools to quickly and accurately find the best images—those perfectly in focus, with everyone looking their best. I remove any doubles or blurry shots, and then get to work matching exposures for a consistent, polished look. I also remove distractions and, where it enhances the final result, swap out or enhance backdrops digitally. Every edit is done with care, ensuring your gallery feels cohesive and true to your story.

Step 4: Delivery

Your finished gallery is delivered via a secure online portal, usually within days. I never promise less than two weeks, but my streamlined process means you almost always get your images much sooner.

Custom AI Backdrops for Newborns

I now offer additional digital backdrops for all newborn sessions. I create an AI background based on conversations with parents and produce a unique image for each family. For example, gorgeous Sylvie is of Aboriginal descent, and I wanted to give her family something truly special. I designed an inspired backdrop just for them, using my creative skills and AI tools to bring their heritage into the image.




Creative Solutions for Tricky Poses

Little Ryver wasn’t keen on the froggy pose—a classic newborn position that I never force if a baby isn’t comfortable. Normally, I’d take two images and stitch them together in Photoshop for safety, but this time I only got one usable photo. With a lot of creative editing and the help of AI tools in Photoshop, I was able to make the froggy pose work, ensuring Ryver’s comfort was never compromised.


Subtle Enhancements for Maternity Sessions

For Rebecca’s maternity gallery, I felt the plain white backdrop was a little boring. Using digital tools, I added some subtle texture to enhance the beauty of the images—lifting the whole gallery without distracting from the subject.
